American Degree Transfer Program

The liberal curriculum of the American Degree Transfer Program (ADP) encourages you to have a spirit of inquiry and openness to the culture of exchanging ideas. At the same time, its teaching methods will develop your ability to think critically. This program is committed to the ideal that you should have the opportunity to achieve your fullest potential and be committed to sustaining a multi-cultural environment that celebrates diversity, affirms differences and provides links to the larger community and other countries.

The incredible flexibility is a key strength of the ADP. Starting with two years of ‘liberal arts’ studies before majoring in specific disciplines means you get a more broad-based education that allows you to communicate confidently and think independently. You are free to choose a combination of science and arts subjects and should you decide to change majors, credit transfers are possible. The program also makes it possible for you to transfer not only to American universities of your choice but also to the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

Since KDU first introduced the ADP to Malaysians in 1983, it has enabled thousands of students to transfer over to 500 universities and colleges across the USA. You too can benefit from the close attention of our experienced lecturers in small classes, and the great pastoral care afforded by the student-lecturer ratio. Take advantage of our very competitive tuition fees, regularly organized education fairs and supportive university placement services.

I spent two years studying American Degree Program in KDU University College and I have absolutely enjoyed my journey in ADP as I have learned a lot from my lecturers and peers. I love that my lecturers were always attentive and helpful toward my needs. I have learned how to step out of my comfort zone. All in all, KDU University College is the place for you to acquire quality education. I have transferred to University of New York to continue my degree program.

When I first enrolled in the program, I had some difficulties settling down because I was new to everything in college. But as time goes by, everything got a whole lot smoother, thanks to all the nice, great people in ADP. The lecturers, the program leader, students, they were all friendly and helpful. They have me well prepared for the states. I gained wonderful experiences throughout my two years of education in KDU. I will be transferring to Pittsburg State University in Kansas in Spring 2014 to continue my degree. On top of the excitement of going to study in the USA, I was also awarded a scholarship by the University. Thank you KDU.

    LAXUS is Awesome!
Conversation in English is hard for a student who came from Chinese independent high school like me. However, I made it, through ADP in KDU. Great and friendly lecturers in KDU made my studies a pleasure. Lastly, I would say: “LAXUS is awesome!” LAXUS is the acronym for “Learning and Experience United States”. It is formed by the students in ADP. Through my participations in LAXUS I have learn a lot transferable skills to my study in America. At ADP we celebrate the 4th of July - American Independence Day as well as Halloween. After completing my 2 years in ADP, I’m now continuing my studies with Iowa State University majoring in Engineering. Thank you ADP

The ADP program was a great phase in my educational life as not only did it prepare me for my future but the whole experience in itself was amazing, on an educational and personal level. KDU ADP was something unforgettable as it has connected my memories and experience of it on a personal level, and those kinds of memories are not easily forgotten. One of the great aspects the program had was the lecturers. I can actually say that no matter how much professionalism they exert, they still give off that sense of friendliness. I can admit that I can actually talk to them outside of class with my personal matters like a friend because I know for a fact that they will reciprocate the gesture. The lecturers also taught the materials in an easy-tounderstand manner but they would apply the harder teaching method of the universities in the United States so that we get somewhat of an experience with the different teaching method there. I’m currently continuing my degree in Aeronautical Engineering with Wichita State University, Kansas.

My time at KDU ADP has been a life transforming experience. Everything was carefully and strategically put in place for me to ease my transition into the U.S study culture. Academically, I had experienced and friendly lecturers whose guidance made me become an independent critical thinker which has been a valuable virtue to me studying in the U.S and also a wonderful ADP head at my beck and call who resolved any confusions I had with my courses and how they transfer. Also there were several fun filled extracurricular activities ranging from fund raising activities like car wash and movie weeks and also American Holiday Celebrations like Halloween and American Independence day which I actively took part in organizing. This helped in boosting my organizational and people skills which have been valuable in helping me to integrate quickly and smoothly my transfer to Western Michigan University majoring in Biology. Overall, KDU ADP has been a fun learning experience for me. I have made lifelong friends both of fellow students and of lecturers.
