The Hope Home; Praise Emmanuel Children's Home; Yellow Brick House; Shelter Home for boys and girls; Agathian Home; Juara Home; Assunta Children's Society; Lovely Home...and the list goes on. KDU College students have been actively involved in community service from the word GO! Painting abodes; canvassing for funds for tinned food; assembling gift wrapped food hampers; tutoring the children; bonding with the youngsters; role-modeling; holding bake sales to raise money for special projects; working with special needs children; KDU Community Outreach Programmeentertaining the KDU Community Outreach Programmechildren with music and clowns; organising pizza parties; tea parties; futsal tournaments; collecting tabs for prosthetic limbs; putting together red ribbons to raise funds for World Aids Day; organising toy drives to collect toys for orphans; and many, many more activities...

These young leaders have left their prints in the lives of the children they served by contributing their time, money, skills and talents to the needy. They have served religiously as catalysts for change.

101110-Kuantan-School-VisitThe KDU Marketing Team recently headed to the east coast to conduct the Math & Science Quiz at SMK Tengku Afzan, an all-girls school in Kuantan, Pahang.

 

KDU's Math & Science Quiz was first conducted in the Damansara Jaya campus, last year, incorporating schools in the Klang Valley. With its popularity growing, the KDU team decided to also hold individual ones in various secondary schools.

Be it as a student or as an adult, time management will be one of the most essential skills one must have, and it's not a hard one to put to practice, once you get the hang of it, as students of SMJK Sam Tet (Ipoh) learned.

 

Our KDU Marketing Team, Valerie Tan, Valerie Ooi and Arthur Manfred, recently took a trip to Ipoh to conduct a workshop on Time Management for the Sam Tet students.

Students from SMK Taman SEA had the chance to learn just that. The KDU team recently organized two workshops for the students, with the help of lecturers from the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts.

 World Vision Child Sponsorship Programme


KRRC (KDU Rest and Relax Club), KDU College is supporting the World Vision Child Sponsorship programme so that we can help more children. When you donate to help poor children in need, the funds will be used to run the sponsorship programme, bursaries for students, and special events for kids. By doing this we hope to ensure that these children have the best opportunity to empower themselves and their communities in the future.

Energise them, break the communication barriers, gell them! That's what Nelson Allan (Placement Manager @ KDU) did to the teambuilding participants from SMK Sinar Bintang.

 

What are picking bits of paper all about? Falling off from the chair into the arms of your classmates? Hunting, or is it Quidditch as in "Harry Potter"? Strange activities, right? Tell that to Allan and he will smartly answer you: "Do you want a cohesive team? One that has a strong foundation built on a bedrock of trust, respect and shared responsibility? If you do, trust me!"
